RATES
Square Inch Price
I charge 3 cents per square inch for most designs.
For example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .03 = $144.
If a pantograph has an "*" next to its title it is considered "dense" quilting design and is priced at 3.5 cents per square inch.
Example:
60x80 = 4800 x .035 = $168

Hand guided all-over designs are priced at 3.5 cents per square inch.

Custom quilting is charged at $35 per hour.

There is no extra charge for thread!
My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.
Batting
I use and stock my favorite, Quilters Dream batting in the 80/20 cotton/poly blend, and100% cotton. I have limited quantities of wool batting in stock, please ask for availability.
Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.
I charge for batting by the linear inch from queen rolls of batting except in the case of special orders. I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 5" margin) and charge per inch.
For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, I would cut 65" of the batting of your choice.
65" of 100% cotton white dream mid-loft @ $0.53/in = $34.50
65" of 80/20 cotton/poly blend @ $0.48/in = $31.20
Thread
I stock Glide#40 wt in solid colors. Glide is a polyester thread, very strong and beautiful! I also have some 100% cotton Signature threads in both solids and variegated colors. We can discuss thread selection when you book quilting. I don't charge any extra fees for thread use, it's included in your square inch price.
I will attempt to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt and will use Glide thread. However, this is your quilt so let me know if you have a thread type or color preference.
Photography
I typically take pictures as I am working on your quilt and I will send those to you when I'm finished. I also like to post pictures on social media to share what I'm working on. Please let me know if you don't want me to share your beautiful work! I'm not a professional photographer, but I do try to make your quilt look it's best.
Shipping
Many of my customers don't live in my area so shipping your quilt top and backing to me is how to get it here - unless of course you want to visit beautiful Sisters, Oregon! I recommend sending your quilt and backing in a bag that will protect it against moisture and then in a hard-sided cardboard box. The post office has great shipping boxes in a variety of sizes and shipping with them is a breeze! Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.
Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you via USPS Priority mail (using flat rate when possible/economical). Priority mail comes with $50 of insurance and a tracking number. You can indicate on the booking form if you'd like additional insurance.

Shipping is charged based on weight and shipping destination per USPS rates. There is no handling charge.
