Is it Circles or Bubbles?

A great way to quilt a quilt is to reflect the design of the quilt in the quilting. This quilt has raw edge applique of circles made with stratas (strips of fabric then cut to shape.) I choose a pantograph of circles - or is it bubbles? to quilt the overall piece and it turned out well!

The quilt is queen sized and I used a lovely soft yellow thread for the quilting. The raw edge applique has machine blanket stitch on the edges, so I didn't worry too much about making sure each circle was quilted down.

This quilting design is fairly open and light and the overall quilt has a nice drape and weight to it.
